SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT

MR. irv bauman

A lifelong Dodger fan and sports enthusiast, business mogul, Mr. Irv Bauman, is our Top Sponsor of the Year and our Sponsor Spotlight.

The first thing one may notice about Irv Bauman aside from his regal stature is the influence his family has on his work ethic and his love of God. He is a man that does not live his life drawing attention to the wonderful philanthropic contributions he makes to our society, so we feel it is our obligation to share with you some of the advances that Yasiel Puig’s Wild Horse Children’s Foundation has been able to make within Los Angeles and its outlying communities through Mr. Bauman’s selfless giving.

In August, 2018, Mr. Bauman reached out to the Foundation to hold a special giveaway that allowed a deserving mother and her adopted special needs child to have the memory of a lifetime. They were chauffeured to Dodger Stadium to enjoy a luxury experience that included meeting the players, dining at the exclusive Lexus Dugout Club, with front row seats right behind the Dodgers’ dugout for the game.

In November 2018, the Wild Horse Children’s Foundation fed over 300 families in the city of Boyle Heights that would otherwise not have had a Thanksgiving. The families were treated to a Thanksgiving celebration prepared by Yasiel’s personal chef, along with an array of food from favorite local eateries. They enjoyed a disc jockey and mariachis, and were even treated to fresh haircuts! All the families were able to take home gift bags that added up to over 1000 pounds of food and toiletries.

In December 2018, the Wild Horse Children’s Foundation held a “Christmas to Remember” Event in the city of Lynwood, where 600 children received amazing toys.  The families were treated to a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, a DJ, mariachis, and an incredible menu and meal cards from the Chick-fil-A Cow! Four special families that had been living in their vehicles received shelter, and were gifted items to help them in their new environments as they got placed in their new homes.

By far, the biggest contribution that Mr. Bauman has helped us attain is the field and facilities project in Pioneer Park in the City of San Fernando. Puig’s House is set to start construction in April and will provide free meals to underserved families, along with several health, mental and sports programs.

Even though Yasiel Puig is now a player with the Cincinnati Reds, he continues to do good work throughout Los Angeles through his Foundation by way of incredible friends such as Mr. Irv Bauman, philanthropist and first Sponsor Spotlight of the Wild Horse Children’s Foundation.
