yasiel puig's 3rd annual celebrity poker tournament

Yasiel Puig, hosted his third annual celebrity poker tournament to benefit The Wild Horse Children’s Foundation on Monday. 


Proceeds from the event will support the completion of a community center to be named “Puig’s House” and adjacent youth sports fields at Pioneer Park in San Fernando.


Held at The Houdini Estate in Hollywood, the poker tournament brought together 500 guests for a 1920’s themed night. The evening, emceed by Power 106 radio personality, Cece Valencia, began with a star-studded red carpet including George Lopez, LA Kings Forward Tyler Toffoli, MMA Fighter Chuck Liddell, Real Housewife of Beverly Hills Teddi Mellencamp and more. 


During the dinner program, Yasiel Puig awarded Dodger legend, Manny Mota, with the Wild Horse Inspiration Award. The honor is awarded annually to an individual who has inspired Puig and has helped make an impact in their community. The gourmet dinner was prepared by Yasiel Puig’s personal chef, David Fuerte, with food provided by Tapia Brothers.


Poker tournament participants and spectators enjoyed an open bar sponsored by Captain Morgan with additional beverages provided by Rev Winery and Brewery, Likwid Group, and I Love Micheladas. Guests enjoyed food throughout the night provided by Magaly’s Tamales, Porto’s Bakery and Cafe La Llave Cuban coffee.
